2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to this website (tabenstudio.com), our official community spaces — including the official Backrooms: Nameless Discord server — and anything else we run where these terms are linked. By using them, you agree to these terms.
Our games are sold through Steam. Buying and playing them is also governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and, where provided, the game's own end-user license agreement.
3. Community rules
In our community spaces:
- Be kind. No harassment, hate speech, threats or personal attacks.
- No sexual content, and nothing illegal.
- No politics or religion. Keep discussion about games.
- No spam, advertising or unsolicited direct messages.
- No piracy, cheats, exploits shared for abuse, or leaked builds and materials.
- Hide spoilers.
- Follow the terms and guidelines of the platform you are on, such as Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
We may remove content, restrict, mute, remove or ban anyone who breaks these rules, at our discretion.
4. What you post
You keep ownership of what you create and post. By posting it in our official spaces, you allow us to display it there and to share it — for example featuring a screenshot or clip — with credit where practical. Only post what you have the right to share.
Feedback, suggestions and bug reports help us make the game. We may use them freely, without any obligation to you.
5. Playtests and unreleased material
Playtest builds and anything we share before release may be confidential. If we tell you something is confidential, do not share it outside the place we shared it.
6. Our content
Our games, names, logos, art, music and text belong to us. You are welcome to make fan art, videos and streams of our games. Please ask us first before using our names or logos for anything commercial or official-looking.
7. Other services
Our community and store pages run on services we do not control, such as Discord and Steam. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them.
8. No guarantees
Our website and community spaces are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from their use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version; continuing to use our spaces after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes will be submitted to a competent court in Shanghai, unless the law of your country gives you a right to bring them elsewhere.
